June 18: Summer Trimester Class Preview

Summer is fast approaching and so is our Summer Semester Class Preview, which is being held this time on Friday, June 18 from noon to 8:00 p.m. Our instructors will be on hand from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. to answer your questions. Some of the great class samples that you will see are the Bow & Go Bag, Sweet Sugar Swirls, Butterflies are Free, Hip Skirt, Midtown Trench Coat, Regatta and Jacob’s Ladder. These are but a few of the wonderful projects that await you, so make plans to attend the Summer Semester Class Preview.

Summer is a great time to start a new project with its long days and the extra daylight hours it provides. Let the warmth of the summer sun and the beautiful colors of the summer flowers spark your creativity. We are here and ready to further inspire you with these fantastic projects and more. Be sure to read about and take advantage of the Summer Daze program as described below.

It’s shop hop time; Jingle Bell Hop, that is. Our fourth annual Jingle Bell Hop will be July 9th and 10th. Plan now to join us for some early holiday fun. Come see the new Christmas fabrics and enjoy a 20% discount on ½ yd. or larger cuts from these beautiful new fabrics. Jingle Bell Hoppers will also enjoy a discount on specially made shop hop kits for holiday decorating and gift giving ideas. It is never too early to begin planning for the holidays. Let us help you get started and have fun while you are doing it.

As you visit each participating shop, get your passport stamped. Turn in your completed passport at the last shop you visit during the hop and you will be eligible for great prizes. In addition, you will have an opportunity to register for Christmas stockings filled with goodies at each shop you visit.

To participate, you need to purchase a passport at a participating shop. Jingle Bell Hop passports go on sale May 25 for just $3, but hurry – the price will go up to $5 after the hop begins. The participating shops are Among Friends Quilt Shop, Happy Heart Quilt Shop, Forget Me Knot Quilt Shoppe, The Gathering Room, The Quilting Bee and HollyHock Quilt Shop.
 

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…that is what we here at Among Friends will be singing on Friday, September 24 as we get ready for our annual Christmas Open House. We have a special evening planned for you with demonstrations, door prizes, refreshments and a sale. It may seem early now to be thinking about Christmas, but those holiday fabrics are already beginning to arrive and by the time the open house is here there will only be 90 days left until Christmas. Let us help you with gift ideas and Christmas decorations for your home. Come share some early Christmas cheer with us from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

July 2-3: Fourth of July Pasture Sale

On Friday and Saturday, July 2 & 3, receive 20% off (with 1 yd. minimum purchase) on our Pasture fabrics (which is what we call our clearance fabric – we put them out to pasture, so to speak). These are top quality fabrics from all the great manufacturers that have been retired to the back hall and into the classroom. We have to move them out to make room for all the new fabrics that arrive here weekly. This is a good opportunity to get some great fabrics that still have plenty of life and usefulness and save money at the same time.

September 6: Labor Day Sale

We are offering the tools and notions to make your “labor” easier with a discount at our Labor Day Sale. Shop with us on Monday, September 6, and get 20% off of all regular-priced notions. That includes rulers, rotary cutters, blade refills, stencils, marking devices, thread, Handi Quilter gadgets and much more.
