Friends Quilt Shop, established in 2003, is owned by Wendy and Scott
Vetter. Although the shop has only been opened since November of 2003,

the home to over 6,000 bolts of quality cotton quilting fabrics, as
well as a large selection of books, patterns, notions and tools.

One
Million Pillowcase Challenge
Calling all quilters, sewers and crafters! Among Friends Quilt
Shop and American Patchwork & Quilting are challenging you to
join our efforts to Make a Pillowcase, Make a Difference.
Every pillowcase can make a difference in our community. Make
a fun pillowcase for a standard size pillow that a child or
young person would enjoy and bring it in to the shop. Our
pillowcases will be donated to the Home of the Innocents. We
will be collecting pillowcases all year.

Staff
Selections
Our featured staff member this issue is Holly Marrese. Holly has
been working here since 2006 behind the scenes and is one of
Wendy’s three daughters. She keeps the on-line shopping cart up to
date on our website. She also has recently taken over as our Event
and Education Coordinator. In addition, she does Printed Memories,
a photo transfer service, of which she does an excellent job.
Holly is very creative and her job gives her opportunities to use
her talents.
Holly is married to Daniel and has two big dogs, Chloe and Vegas.
She enjoys quilting and spending time at the lake with Daniel.
Holly makes many of the samples here at the shop. Her favorite
fabric designers are Moda’s Chez Moi and Tula Pink.
Don’t forget to check out the new staff selection fat quarter
bundles. Holly’s Harmony consists of beautiful batik fabrics from
Hoffman. Come see hers and the other awesome coordinated fabric
