Calling all quilters, sewers and crafters! Among Friends Quilt
Shop and American Patchwork & Quilting are challenging you to
join our efforts to Make a Pillowcase, Make a Difference.
Every pillowcase can make a difference in our community. Our
first pillowcase challenge event will be a Pillowcase Brunch
on Thursday, February 11, from 10:00 to 1:00. During this 3
hour event, we will all be making pillowcases to donate to The
Home of the Innocents. Bring your sewing machine and fabrics
from your stash. We will provide patterns/instructions. It
will be fun sewing together for a good cause. Let’s use the
gifts and talents we have been blessed with to bless someone
else. A light brunch will be provided to participants.
Please call in advance to register so we know how many people
to be prepared for. This is a great way to use up some of the
fun fabrics that you already have to bring a smile to the face
of a child going through a difficult time. If you don’t have
fabrics to use, we will be offering discounted fabrics for
purchase that day to make pillowcases, but you will need to
bring your sewing machine, rotary cutter and basic sewing
supplies.
