Don't forget that Thursday, March 11, is our fat quarter sale.  We will be opening our doors at 7:30 a.m. and will be open until 8:00 p.m.  All in-stock fat quarters will be $1.25 (limit 125 per customer).  This is a savings of up to 58%, which makes this a great time to stock up on quilter's favorites - fat quarters!

Adventures in Wonderland

Adventures in Wonderland has arrived at Among Friends Quilt Shop.  Check out this quilt called "Things don't Always Seem as They Appear."  It is designed by Barbara Campbell and features fabrics from the Adventures in Wonderland collection from Windham Fabrics.  Kits are available to make this charming 50" x 50" wall or child's quilt.

Sew Sweet Shoppe

Did you know that February is National Cherry Month?  Did you also know that cherries are good for you?  They are high in antioxidants which help fight cancer and heart disease.  If you had attended the Sew Sweet Shoppe today, you would know this and more. The project of the day was Cheery Cherry pie, which is going to be so pretty in the cheery pinks and cherry red fabrics.  The desserts of the day were cherry pie and cherry crunch - yum! Next month is National Peanut Butter Lover's Month and the project will be Chocolate Peanuttier! New Jim Shore Heartwood Creek Figurines Have Arrived

We just received the brand new Fairies figurines from Jim Shore along with the Quilting Bee Angel and the hinged box with sewing machine.  Here are a few:        Nana's Garden, Baby Buggies, Petal Punch, Wind It Up, Animal Alphabet and Dancing Horses by Laurel Burch are among a few of the new fabrics lines that have come in this month.  Stop by and see what is new. Back From Quilt Market

Quilt Market was amazing.  I am excited about the fabrics and patterns that I ordered.  Plans are underway for new shop samples - 2010 is going to be a great year!  Both colorways for the 2010 Mystery BOM have been selected and are gorgeous.  One we are calling Buttercup and the other Midnight.  We should have them posted on the website soon along with information on the Heart and Home Quilt Club and the Sew Sweet Shoppe Club.
